Industrial Ipswich: w/ Scott Jewel – Historic Walking Tour

This spring the Ipswich Museum is bringing back the popular series of outdoor historical walking tours. Our “Sunday Strolls” offer a variety of topics and routes through town.There will be no tours on April 17 or 24.

From lace and stockings to lumber, isinglass and rum, Ipswich’s mills and factories have produced it all, often while weathering the ravages of war, fire, economic depression, and labor strikes. Join Scott Jewel on a fascinating journey through the history of industry and trade on the banks of the Ipswich River.
