Bag Lunch Series: Nantucket Lightship/LV-12

This vessel possess national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America.  For 39 years it guided transoceanic shipping to and from the east coast ports, through some of the most treacherous shipping lanes in the world. Many famous vessels like the Queen Mary, Normandie and naval cargo vessels depended on her as a navigational aid.
