DESCRIPTION:Grinling Gibbons (1648-1721) has been described as the greatest decorative carver in British history.  As part of the 2021-2022 celebration to mark the tercentenary of his death\, Castle Hill Curator Susan Hill Dolan will speak about the life and work of Gibbons\, including his spectacular overmantel carving from England’s Cassiobury Park (c. 1675\, now surviving in the Great House library. \nWednesday Evening Lectures are free for members and $10 for non-members.
