Wednesday Evening Lecture March 28– The Great Lawrence Textile Strike Speaker: Robert Forrant is a Distinguished University Professor, Co-Director, Senior Research Fellow @ UMASS Lowell.  In 2016 he was honored for his outstanding contributions in research, teaching and public history projects in the community. He was the first professor from the College of Fine Arts, Humanities & Social Science to receive the university’s highest faculty honor since the awards inception in 2008. Professor Forrant will talk about the strike with a focus on the role the immigrant worker played in the city of Lawrence, before, during, and after the walkout.

Free for museum members; $10 for non-members. Held in the Heard House of the Ipswich Museum.
